Otaku World is a fast-growing company specializing in anime, Japanese culture, and event organization. We run engaging events such as Japan Fest and Otaku Link, collaborate with artists, and provide unique experiences to anime enthusiasts. We are currently looking for a creative and motivated Social Media and Events Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Job Description:
As a Social Media and Events Assistant, you will play a key role in promoting our brand, managing our social media presence, and supporting the planning and execution of events. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in creative environments and enjoys engaging with online communities and event attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and create content for Instagram, Facebook, Discord and TikTok.
- Plan and execute photography and videography tasks to capture engaging moments for promotional use.
- Edit videos and photos using software like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
- Design social media graphics and marketing materials.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance and suggest improvements.
- Assist with event planning and on-site coordination during events.
- Provide exceptional customer service and interact with attendees both online and in person.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement marketing campaigns and other additions to the business.
Desirable Skills:
- Some experience (can be from personal social media) in managing Instagram, Facebook, Discord and TikTok accounts/servers.
- Proficiency in photography, videography, and editing software.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of video editing software.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to provide examples of social media content created in the past.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for anime, Japanese culture, and events is a plus!
